About the Beer:
Burn After Reading is a juicy and aromatic Double India Pale Ale with soft flavors of orange, lemon and candied mango from the heavy dose of Superdelic, Nectaron and Nelson Sauvin hops. The purrfect beer for hop and cat lovers alike. Available on draft and 16oz cans.
About the Can Art:
This new DIPA series is a collaboration with Artrepreneur, an artist run non-profit that supports and promotes artists from across the globe by providing business opportunities and resources. They invited us to create a call for entries for another can design project and we of course accepted with great enthusiasm. We had over 100 portfolios submitted for the project inspired by the story of Operation Acoustic Kitty, a failed CIA project that was launched in the 1960’s attempting to use cats in missions to spy on the Kremlin and Soviet Embassies. By discreetly affixing batteries, microphones and antennas to the cats, the plan was to train them to secretly transmit private conversations back to the CIA.
I’m sure you can guess how that went for them….
Of the many artists that submitted, we narrowed it down to Canada based artist, Jacob Rolfe. We instantly fell in love with Jacob’s imaginative work he presents in detailed narratives representing different topics such as environmental issues, meditation, literacy and medicinal plants and fungi. He also really loves drawing cats! Get to know him outside his life as a visual artist and you can see him on the big screen in the popular show, Trailer Park Boys.
