A special spotlight for our most amazing dogs

The Happy Dog Microblog highlights one dog each month who—at no fault of their own—need extra help finding the perfect family. We believe that there is a perfect home for every dog in rescue. And, with a little luck and rescue fairy dust, we hope that that person might just be you!

A message from her foster

Gimlet is one of the happiest dogs we’ve ever had the joy to foster. Crate trained and housebroken, she’s super easy to care for and relatively low maintenance—she even lives comfortably in a small one bedroom apartment. Gimlet is perfect for someone looking for a “Pocket Pitty.” Weighing in under 30 lbs and about knee high, she is smaller than she looks in photos! Gimmy would do well with kids who love a super cuddly, friendly dog and don’t mind her hilarious zoomies and kisses. She has lived with cats and dogs, but a nice and easy introduction to new family pets is always recommended. Any low energy household with a love of snorty, happy dogs would love her to death.
